Family Support & Guidance

Our Family Support & Guidance sessions offer a supportive space for parents and carers who are finding things challenging at home. These sessions provide a chance to talk things through, gain practical ideas, and feel more confident in understanding and supporting your child or young person.

What we can support

Families come to us for help with a wide range of situations, including (but not limited to):

• Understanding a child or young person’s needs, behaviours and communication
• Feeling unsure how to manage challenges at home
• Building routines, boundaries and strategies that work for your family
• Strengthening communication and reducing conflict
• Navigating school related stress, overwhelm or attendance worries
• Identifying helpful services, resources or next steps

What the sessions involve

A space to talk: Time to share what’s happening at home with someone who understands neurodivergent needs and family dynamics.
Practical guidance: Clear, realistic strategies tailored to your family’s routines, strengths and challenges.
Collaborative problem solving: Exploring what’s working, what’s not, and what could help.
Signposting: Support to identify useful services, resources or onward support.
Optional family sessions: We can bring the whole family together to build shared understanding and create a plan that supports everyone.

Who it’s for

Parents, carers and families who would benefit from guidance, reassurance and practical tools to support a child or young person at home, school or in the community.

What to expect

A compassionate, non judgemental approach, clear communication, and strategies that fit real life.
